Rate Cards are accessed from the left-hand menu in RideRates. Use RideRates to create Rate Cards that contain fixed or formula-driven rates for routes from or to specific gateways.
A Rate Card groups rates for rides originating from or heading to a specific gateway, such as an airport, port, or train station. To provide maximum flexibility, RideRates treats routes as separate “from” and “to” gateways. For example, if a company offers routes from multiple gateways, they must create separate Rate Cards for each route.
While it is uncommon, a Rate Card can feature rates either to or from a gateway, without including its opposite direction. Additionally, a Rate Card can include a route to another gateway. If the same route appears on two Rate Cards, the higher version will be used, unless otherwise specified.
Each new Rate Card is created using the wizard, generating the first version labeled v1.0.0, which includes the values entered by the user or rates derived from any formula set within the wizard. Version numbers reflect the modifications made to the Rate Card.
