Connecting to Partners

Connecting to Partners

In RideConnect, businesses can easily connect with potential and existing partners to expand their network and collaborate. The Find Partners feature is accessed from the left-hand menu in RideConnect and allows you to search for and connect with other businesses on the platform.

How Connections Work

The connection process varies depending on whether the invitee is already on the platform, a potential partner, or unknown to RideSuite. Here’s how each scenario works:

  1. If the Invitee is Already on the Platform

    • An invitation to connect is sent directly inside RideSuite to the invitee.
    • The invitee will also receive an email notification.
    • The invitee opens the invitation and clicks ‘Accept’ to confirm the connection.
  2. If the Invitee Shows as a Potential Partner

    • An invitation to connect is sent via email to the potential partner.
    • The invitee clicks the link in the email to create an account and take ownership of their RideSuite profile.
    • After creating their profile, the invitee clicks ‘Accept’ to complete the connection.
  3. If the Invitee is Unknown to RideSuite

    • The inviter adds the business name and email address to send an invitation.
    • The invitee clicks the link in the email to create an account and claim their RideSuite profile.
    • The invitee then clicks ‘Accept’ to establish the connection.

Once a connection request is accepted, businesses can:

  • Trade rides with each other.
  • Send messages via Chat.

Understanding the Map in Find Partners

The Find Partners tab displays a map that shows the area where the company is located. The map can be zoomed in or out as needed. There are different colour-coded map pins that indicate the status of each company:

  • Grey: Companies active on the RideSuite platform.
  • Orange: Pending invitations (companies you’ve sent invitations to).
  • Green: My Network (companies that are already connected to you).
  • Purple: Potential Partners (companies in the database not yet active on the RideSuite platform).

Clicking on a map pin will display a popup with more details about the company.

How to Create a Connection

For Potential Partners (Purple Pins) & Partners Already on RideSuite (Grey Pins):

  1. Click on the map pin of a company.
  2. Click on the ‘Connect with [Company Name]’ button.
  3. Optionally, write a personalised message to the invitee.
  4. Click ‘Send Invitation’ to send the connection request.

For Companies not on RideSuite:

  1. Click the ‘Create Invite’ button located to the left of the map.
  2. Fill in the contact information for the invitee (first & last name, company name, email address, country, and language).
  3. Optionally, add a personal message.
  4. Click ‘Send Invitation’ to send the connection request.

Invitation Responses

  • If the partner is already on the platform, they will receive an invitation inside RideSuite, where they can either ‘Accept’ or ‘Ignore’ the invitation.

  • If the partner is a potential (not on the platform yet), they will receive an email invitation to sign up and connect. After signing up, they will click ‘Accept’ to complete the connection.
