Subcontracting Rides

Subcontracting Rides

RideConnect enables Transport Service Providers (fleets) to collaborate with local partners and subcontract rides when needed. This feature is particularly useful when:

  • A fleet does not have enough drivers available to fulfill accepted jobs.
  • A fleet wants to outsource challenging or awkward jobs to another partner.

By leveraging RideConnect and RideSchedule, subcontracting rides becomes an efficient and seamless process.

How to Subcontract Rides: Coming Soon

  1. Navigate to RideSchedule:

    • Open the scheduler within RideSchedule.
  2. Select the Ride:

    • Locate the ride you want to subcontract from the 'Unscheduled Rides' list.
  3. Assign the Ride:

    • Drag and drop the ride onto the Partner you want to subcontract to.
  4. Publish the Ride:

    • Click the 'Publish' button to finalise the subcontracting process.

What Happens Next?

  • The subcontracted ride will automatically be converted into a Purchase Order.
  • The Purchase Order will appear in the 'New Orders' tab of the subcontracted partner’s RideInbox.

The ability to subcontract rides via RideConnect is currently under development and will be available in the upcoming months. Once live, this feature will further enhance collaboration between fleets and their local partners, simplifying the ride outsourcing process.
